Homeless Man

I was walking down the street, I notice a man standing on the corner,
his hair was long and dirty, it seem like it wasn't wash for weeks.
His clothing dirty and full of holes.
He was holding a sign "homeless, please feed me".

First thing came to my mind, he's a drug attic and needs money to feed his habit.
What a dilemma I was facing? if I stop and give him money I'll be supporting his habit.
If I stop and give him money he might grab me and steel my pocketbook.
I prejudged the situation, I was afraid of unknown circumstances.

I didn't mentioned the color of his skin.
It didn't matter what color his skin was.
What mattered, I prejudged this person without knowing his situation.
I was prejudice not because he was white or black.
Because he was poor and I didn't like his demeanor.

I was afraid of him not because of color of his skin.
But the way he looked that frighten me. And I walked away without looking back.
And if I stopped maybe I would have help a homeless man in need, I was too afraid.
We are humans who are afraid of unknown and we're missing out on something beautiful,
like helping others in the moment of need.

Saint Lucie and Indian River

Saint Lucie and Indian River you been around for a long time
Sharing your blessings with everyone: neighbors, friends and visitors
You Brought life to our oyster beds, fish, dolphins, cranes,
pelicans and many more…

Now your life is in danger polluted with toxic waters and
you're dying slow death and no one seems to care!
Big money was killing you for such a long time
while rich getting richer and think they can get away with it!
You're worthless to them they don't need you now.

People have spoken ‘this is as much as we can take it!’
They're crying out loud save our river save it now!
Demonstrating, creating human chains!
Pleading for help to save our river before it’s too late
Wake up Washington and save our beautiful river now!

Save It Now Before it Dies!

Politicians have chosen to ignore it for now!

Sore Throat Remedy

Before bed time:
Make some tea - Fresh Ginger - few slices, bag of Chamomile tea and local honey (all items preferably organic). Steep for 10 minutes, then add few slices of lemon.
Meanwhile fill tub with warm water, pour 2 cups of  Chamomile Epson Salt.
Soak yourself for 20 minutes, while drinking your tea, put some soothing music on, and relax. Repeat this for 2 days and I swear by it. My Throat was all better...
